Ubeda & Baeza (1 Day)

It will take about 90 minutes from Granada to Úbeda and Baeza.

Discover two Renaissance jewels: Úbeda and Baeza. These two historic cities, located in the north of Andalusia, 90 minutes from Granada, received a broad sponsorship of the highest Spanish aristocracy at the beginning of the sixteenth century, which left us with a splendid artistic and architectural legacy. On this full day excursion, you can visit both cities, declared World Heritage by UNESCO.

In Úbeda, the Vázquez de Molina square houses Renaissance treasures in two churches, the Sacred Chapel of El Salvador and the Collegiate Church of Santa María, and two palaces, the Ortega Dean and the Palace of the Chains. The city of Baeza has other wonders of the Renaissance around the central square of Santa María, where the Cathedral and the Seminary of San Felipe Neri are located. The Jabalquinto Palace, with its ornate façade, represents an interesting example of the period of transition between flamboyant Gothic and Renaissance.

Between city and city, our expert local guide will suggest the best place to take your lunch based on traditional products from the province of Jaén, famous throughout the world for its supreme quality olive oil.

After the visit, our driver will take you back to Granada.
