Walking Tour Santiago de Compostela (1/2 Day)

With this walk through the historic city of Santiago de Compostela, you can see its main points of interest. Santiago is the capital of Galicia, a place that every year millions of people come from all over the world, many of them after traveling the Camino de Santiago and its historic center has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

First, our local guide will show you around the Cathedral, including the Plaza del Obradoiro, with the impressive facade of the Hostal de los Reyes Católicos (current Parador de Turismo). The site formed by the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela and its four squares, Obradoiro, Quintana, Praterías and Azabachería is one of the most interesting and rich in Europe without a doubt, a whole world of historical and artistic content, with a lot of spiritual significance and religious symbolism. The Cathedral is the heart and soul of the city. A baroque building with a Romanesque heart, whose crypt houses the remains of the apostle Santiago, its most famous feature is the Portico de la Gloria, the best and most complex group of sculptures belonging to Romanesque art.

During the walk through the "ruas" of Santiago, you can admire the Colegio de San Jerónimo, the Monastery of San Martín Pinario or the Pazo de Raxoi (current town hall).
