Gastronomy Tour in Grazalema (1 Day)

Meet the driver and the guide at the El Gastor meeting point.

You will first be driven to Zahara de la Sierra, perched on a hill, overlooking a lake of turquoise waters. There, you will visit a traditional olive mill where you could learn about the extraction process that gives the best quality Extra Virgin Olive Oil and why olive trees are vital to our culture, as Andalusia is the world´s first olive-oil producer in the world. In this rural setting, you will go back in time by visiting a unique 19th-century olive oil mill.

Miles away, crossing winding and scenic routes of the Grazalema mountain range, you will stop in a renowned factory that produces Payoyo cheese, a delicacy of the region which has received numerous international awards. You will be introduced to the elaboration process of this distinctive product made with the organic milk of goats and sheep that are indigenous to the Sierra, and of course, you will get to taste these with a glass of wine.

The genuine local gastronomy must be paired with the wines of the region. In a different place, you could also taste the wines of this fascinating region, along with the sherry wines produced in the neighboring Jerez, accompanied by a tasting of the local charcuterie made with Iberian pork and some sweets of the traditional confectionery.

With all these genuine flavors in the palate, your driver and guide will accompany you back to El Gastor.
