Hotel Casa Fuster *****

Where Art-Noveau meets the present day

"Designed by modernist architect Lluís Domènch i Montaner, the Casa Fuster was completed in 1907 for the Fuster family, who only lived there briefly. In 2004, the building, including Café Vienés, was restored and transformed into a contemporary boutique hotel, decorated with Art Nouveau–inspired furnishings. With an outstanding location in Paseo de Gracia, it stands just a few steps from Casa Milá (la Pedrera) and Casa Batlló, two of the best-known Gaudi’s buildings. It also has the privilege of being the only building in the area to be used as a belvedere, due to its amazing terrace, from where you have amazing panoramic views of the city. The Casa Fuster offers accommodation in Barcelona in rooms decorated with warm and natural tones. The large windows allow natural light to flood into the rooms, all of which are decorated with materials of the highest quality such as cherry wood. Its exclusive designer furniture follows traditional Modernist-style guidelines and it is combined with contemporary designer items. It also has several spaces with a distinctive personality, where food, culture and entertainment merge to create a unique experience. Its Reading Room is also noteworthy for being a space reserved for booklovers who wish to find a place to relax and enjoy the pleasures of a good read."
