Toledo (1 Day)

It will take about 1 hour from Madrid to Toledo.

Just 70 km from Madrid, the imperial city of Toledo emerges towards the sky of Castilla surrounded by the Tagus River. Toledo is known for its extensive cultural and monumental heritage and its historical coexistence of Christian, Muslim and Jewish cultures. The entire city was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1986. Toledo is also known for its popular traditions, such as the procession of the Most Holy Corpus Christi, a festival declared of International Tourist Interest.

Upon arrival, we will begin with a panoramic tour of Toledo from its magnificent views on the other side of the river, from where it was painted by El Greco. Then we will enter the old town to visit the historic center, where from the lively Zocodover Square the monuments of all cultures come together, such as the ancient Synagogue of Santa María la Blanca, the monastery of San Juan de los Reyes, the Santo Tomé chapel or the Tránsito Synagogue (today Sephardic National Museum). You can also visit if you prefer the great Cathedral of Toledo.

During the day, our guide will suggest you stop for lunch in the most appropriate place. Do not miss the traditional dishes of this city!

After the excursion, our driver will take you back to Madrid.
