Modernist Barcelona (1/2 day)

This half-day visit will allow you to discover the beautiful city of Barcelona, the capital of Catalonia, located on the Mediterranean Sea at the northern end of the Spanish coast. You will be able to know from the modernist architecture of Antonio Gaudí, to the charm of its historic center and the spectacular coastline that opens the city to the Mediterranean.

We recommend starting the walk in the temple of La Sagrada Familia, a large-scale work that began on March 19, 1882 from a project of the diocesan architect Francisco de Paula Del Villar. In 1883, Gaudí oversaw the works of the basilica, a task that he did not abandon until his death in 1926. Since then, different architects have continued the construction always under the influence of Gaudí's final drawings.

If you visit this essential monument, we recommend continuing to Park Güell, for which you will need transportation. The Güell Park was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO along with six other works by Antoni Gaudí. The space was conceived as a residential city inspired by the English Garden cities, although the construction of the houses was not completed and only ended as a Public Park. It is considered one of the most important works of modernism in the world, a reflection of the artistic fullness of Gaudí, who had put into practice all his architectural genius using many innovative structural solutions. It was built on the Pelada Mountain, in concave lands that resemble an amphitheater from which we can see Barcelona and the sea. Of all the initially planned urbanization, only two houses were built, one of them is the current Gaudí house museum and the other is La Casa Trías.

If there is still time, you can go back to the city center and walk along Paseo de Gracia, one of the most important and exclusive avenues of Barcelona. Here you can admire the incredible facades of Casa Batlló and La Casa Milá (La Pedrera), designed by Gaudí in its full stage.

Between monuments, you can stop at the prestigious fashion boutiques and luxury boutiques along the avenue.
